There was one girl

On March 11, 2021, the peers of the members of the Youth Center of Young Pedagogues Union read to the kindergarten children the tales from the book "There was one girl", which was created by the initiative of the UN Women.
The book combines tales created by various authors about Georgian women who have left their significant mark on Georgian history or public life. Tales tell of their courage, purposefulness, wisdom, generosity and struggle for justice.
After reading the fairy tales, the peers asked to the children questions about the fairy tales and their future wishes.
The meetings are traditional in nature and similar activities are planned at several other preschools.
📌 The meeting was held under the auspices of the Civic Awareness and Integration Support Program PITA, implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG) with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
