Informing the public about hazardous waste
Members of the organization’s youth center are conducting an advocacy campaign aimed at informing the public about hazardous waste.
It is dangerous for the health of the used elements to get into the household waste, because the elements contain harmful metals, which should not be allowed to enter the landfill. When the batteries reach the landfill, the substances are easily absorbed into the soil and then into drinking water and food.
As long as waste separation is possible, it is best to avoid artificially activating hazardous waste.
