Applications to participate in the project“Local Investments in Networks for Knowledge and Skill-share (LINKS)

United Nations Association of Georgia and Open Society Georgia Foundation is pleased to announce a callfor applications to participate in the project“Local Investments in Networks for Knowledge and Skill-share (LINKS)”, financed and supported by the European Union.
Eligibility criteria: Young people aged 15-29 from four regions of Georgia: Adjara, Guria, Kvemo Kartli and Shida Kartli.

for applications to participate in the project “Local Investments in Networks for Knowledge and Skill-share (LINKS)”, financed and supported by the European Union, in frames of the Skills4Jobs program. The project aims to contribute to improved quality and accessibility of skills anticipation, skills development and skills matching services, and their alignment with Georgia’s socio-economic development strategyin four target regions of Georgia: Adjara, Guria, Kvemo Kartli and Shida Kartli.
The project will invest in labor marketstudy and monitoring, human capital development working groups, employment forums, development and publishing of new training curricula and teacher handbooks for soft skills and key competences,capacity building and Regional exchange for VET institutions.
One of the key objectives of the project is to support young people in skills development, career guidance, entry and stay in the labour market. The LINKS centers, in the four targeted regions of Georgia, invite young people aged 15-29, to develop market-relevant skills and competences.
LINKS Centers offer:
 Development of key competences
 Digital and computer literacy
 Citizenship education
 English language courses
 Key entrepreneurial competences
 Access to lifelong learning resources
 Participation in the travelling university
 Career guidance sessions
 Professional secondments for the selected candidates
 Access to skills/vacancy management portal
 Funding of social and socially responsible start-ups
Selected participants will be provided with additional information. Selected participants are expected to participate in all planned activities. Participation in the project is free.
During the selection process priority will be given to ethnic minorities, IDPs, people with disabilities, NEETs, young people without working experience and living in rural areas.
The deadline for applications is March 15, 2021.
